Killers

hile on vacation with her parents, Jennifer Kornfeldt, a beautiful young blonde, (Katherine Heigl) meets Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher), a good looking single man. The two soon fall in love and continue their relationship back home, rushing into a quick marriage. Jen thinks she has found the perfect man and Spencer thinks he has found the perfect woman, but she doesn't know Spencer actually works for the CIA and often spends his days chasing and killing criminals. However it is unclear whether this film takes place in the future, as the the 1947 National Security Act that established the CIA, afforded it "no police or law enforcement functions, either at home or abroad." CIA officers do not currently (or historically) spend their days "chasing and killing criminals." But, as is expected, their life is about to take a turn for worse when they discover one of their friends is actually contracted to kill the couple.

Flashfoward

A mysterious event causes nearly everyone on the planet to simultaneously lose consciousness for 137 seconds, during which people see what appear to be visions of their lives approximately six months in the future—a global “flashforward”. A team of Los Angeles FBI agents, led by Stanford Wedeck (Vance) and spearheaded by Mark Benford (Fiennes) and his partner Demetri Noh (Cho), begin the process of determining what happened, why, and whether it will happen again. Benford contributes a unique perspective on the investigation; in his flashforward, he saw the results of six months of investigation that he had done on the flashforward event, and he and his team use those clues to recreate the investigation.
The team investigates a number of events related to the flashforward, including "Suspect Zero", who did not lose consciousness during the event, the sinister "D. Gibbons", and a similar mass loss of consciousness in Somalia in 1991. Meanwhile, personal revelations contained within the flashforwards occupy the personal lives of the principal characters. Mark Benford sees his alcoholism relapsing, his wife sees herself with another man, Demetri Noh sees nothing which could mean he will not be alive to see the day of events everyone else has witnessed or possibly that his future wasn't set on the day of the flashforward. Other characters grapple with similarly unexpected or surprising revelations in their flashforwards.

The Karate Kid (2010 film)

The plot bears many similarities to the original Karate Kid film, with some notable differences. Twelve year old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) is the most popular kid in Detroit until he and his single mother (Taraji P. Henson) move because of a pivotal career change made by his mother. In their new home of Beijing, Parker falls for a young school student named Mei Ying. Both children find it hard to form a solid friendship with each other because of their cultural differences and because Ying's father does not approve of their relationship. To make matters worse, this attraction makes him the enemy of the infamous bully leader, Cheng, who gives Parker the nickname of 'The Karate Kid' due to his severely limited knowledge of Karate, hence the title of the film.
With the bullies constantly throwing him to the ground, and with no one else to turn to, the outlook for Parker's new life looks bleak until he meets Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who makes a deal with the bullies' kung-fu master that if they let Dre train they can fight Dre in the upcoming tournament. A quirky mentor and a Kung-Fu master in secret, Mr. Han teaches Parker Kung-Fu through unconventional, yet effective techniques to help make life in his new home an easier affair and hopefully stand up to the bullies. It involves training in places such as the Great Wall of China. The entire plot eventually builds up to a grand finale with Dre Parker battling against Cheng and his allies in a large scale Martial Arts Tournament.
